19th Century European Synagogue Eternal Light (Ner
Tamid). Magnificent example of antique Synagogue hanging lamps which were
brought from European Synagogues to The New World during the Great Immigration.
Hand crafted out of beautiful golden brass. The craftsmanship is truly
remarkable. Entirely hand hammered with no vertical seams. Each of the 2 main
sections were made from a single piece of metal that was hand shaped. The chain is
original to the piece and ornate. Complete with ornate finial. Height:
29 1/8", approx. width: 12 5/8". c.1870-80s.

In
many parts of Russia, it was forbidden for a Jewish family to own silver. Silver Plate
